Above & Beyond Trekking Company is owned and operated by Shyam (Sam) Bahadur Pun Magar, a local trekking guide who grew up in the foothills of the Annapurnas. With over 20 years of trekking experience in the Himalayas, Sam has travelled extensively throughout the Nepalese mountains for thousands of kilometers (miles), has led hundreds of treks for guests from around the world, knows all the steps, passes, valleys, mountains, people, cultures, and has climbed peaks. He has a deep passion for the mountains and he loves to share all these Himalayan trekking experiences with the guests.
Our guides are selected for their expertise and deep local knowledge — many of whom grew up in villages within the region. They are committed to making your journey safe, comfortable, and unforgettable. All guides are trained in First Environmental standards to help preserve our mountains for future generations.
