Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu (1,350m / 4,428ft)

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Explore the lively Thamel area, visit nearby landmarks, and attend a trek briefing in the evening to get ready for the adventure.

Day 2: Drive to Shyabrubesi (1,550m / 5,100ft)

Drive Duration: 6–7 hours

Start your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Shyabrubesi. Enjoy views of mountain ranges like Ganesh Himal and Manaslu, with breaks for photos and local food along the way.

Day 3: Trek to Sherpagaun via Kamjin Village (2,380m / 7,830ft)

Trek Duration: 5–6 hours

Hike through peaceful pine and rhododendron forests, passing the traditional Kamjin Village and a hillside monastery along the way. Enjoy serene mountain views before reaching the Sherpa settlement of Sherpagaun.

Day 4: Trek to Thyangshep (3,400m / 11,152ft)

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Follow the higher trail to Rimche Danda, where it joins the main route from Syabrubesi. Ascend through scenic alpine terrain with panoramic mountain views. Pass waterfalls, yak grazing meadows, and remote homes en route to the tranquil village of Thyangshep.

Day 5: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,900m / 12,792ft)

Trek Duration: 4–5 hours

Follow the trail deeper into the Langtang Valley. Visit prayer wheels, old stone walls, and stop at the famous Yak Cheese Factory. Reach Kyanjin Gompa, a quiet village with a beautiful monastery.

Day 6: Day Hike to Tsergo Ri (5,000m) or Kyanjin Ri (4,773m)

Trek Duration: 8–9 hours (Tsergo Ri)

Choose a side hike to either Kyanjin Ri or Tsergo Ri for amazing views of snow-covered peaks, glaciers, and valleys. These are tough climbs but offer some of the best panoramas in the region.

Day 7: Trek back to Lama Hotel

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Start your descent, retracing the trail through the forest and along the river. Enjoy more chances to connect with local people and take in the peaceful surroundings.

Day 8: Trek to Thulo Syabru (2,230m / 7,316ft)

Trek Duration: 5–6 hours

Descend along forested trails and traditional Tamang settlements as you make your way to the peaceful village of Thulo Syabru. Enjoy scenic views of the surrounding hills and experience authentic local culture on your final trekking day.

Day 9: Trek to Sing Gompa (3,250m / 10,660ft)

Trek Duration: 3–4 hours

This short yet important ascent allows for proper acclimatization before reaching higher altitudes. The trail passes a Buddhist chorten and a checkpoint, then continues south through Garta Village and the serene Phulung Monastery. Arrive at Sing Gompa, also known as Chandan Bari, where you’ll spend the night in a quiet setting surrounded by pine forests.

Day 10: Trek to Laurebina (3,910m / 12,830ft)

Trek Duration: 3-4 hours

Today's trek offers a gradual ascent, crucial for proper acclimatization as you approach higher altitudes. The trail passes a Buddhist chorten and a checkpoint, then continues through Garta Village and the peaceful Phulung Monastery. Reach Laurebina, a quiet and serene spot surrounded by forests, where you'll rest and prepare for the challenges ahead.

Day 11: Trek to Gosaikunda (4,460m / 14,632ft)

Trek Duration: 3-4 hours

Follow a scenic ridge trail with panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna, Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Lirung. As you ascend, you’ll begin to see the sacred lakes of the region. Gosaikunda, the third and most significant lake at 4,380m, is a revered pilgrimage site for Hindus, especially during the Janai Purnima festival. Surrounded by rugged mountains and accompanied by nine other alpine lakes, it’s a spiritually and visually stunning destination.

Day 12: Trek to Ghopte (3,430m / 11,253ft)

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Today’s trek involves crossing the challenging Laurebina La Pass (4,610m / 15,124ft), the highest point of the trek. After enjoying stunning mountain vistas from the pass, descend gradually through rocky terrain and alpine landscapes toward the forested trails leading to Ghopte. The route is remote and peaceful, offering a true sense of Himalayan wilderness.

Day 13: Trek to Kutumsang (2,470m / 8,104ft)

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Continue through dense forests and rugged ridgelines as you leave the solitude of Ghopte behind. The trail passes through the peaceful settlements of Tharepati and Magen Goth, offering occasional views of the Helambu and Langtang ranges. Arrive in the quiet village of Kutumsang, a beautiful spot nestled among rolling hills.

Day 14: Trek to Chisapani (2,165m / 7,103ft)

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Descend gradually through terraced fields, mixed forests, and several hill villages, enjoying views of the surrounding countryside. The trail leads to Chisapani, a popular viewpoint offering sunset and sunrise panoramas over the Himalayas, including distant peaks like Dorje Lakpa and Langtang.

Day 15: Trek to Sundarijal and Drive to Kathmandu (1,400m / 4,593ft)

Trek Duration: 4–5 hours | Drive: 1 hour

Begin your final day with a scenic descent from Chisapani through dense forests, stone-paved trails, and traditional hill villages within Shivapuri National Park. As you make your way to Sundarijal, enjoy your last glimpses of the Himalayas and rural Nepal. From Sundarijal, a short drive takes you back to the bustling city of Kathmandu, marking the completion of your Langtang Gosaikunda adventure.
