The journey begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, followed by trekking through picturesque villages such as Tikhedhunga, Ulleri, Ghorepani, and Ghandruk. Along the way, trekkers will experience the hospitality of local teahouses, enjoy traditional Nepali meals, and immerse themselves in the rich culture of the Gurung and Magar communities.

Trekkers need an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and a Trekking Information Management System (TIMS) Card, which can be arranged by Above & Beyond Trekking. The trek is best undertaken during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons, when the weather is clear, and the views are at their most spectacular.

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Enjoy a scenic bus ride through beautiful mountain landscapes, rivers, and small villages. The journey offers spectacular views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, relax and enjoy the evening in Pokhara, a peaceful lakeside town.

Day 2: Drive to Nayapul & Trek to Hille (1,475m / 4,838ft)

Drive Time: 1.5 hours from Pokhara

Trek Time: 3 hours

Overnight: Teahouse in Hille

After a short flight to Pokhara, drive to Nayapul and begin your trek through the scenic Modi Khola and Bhurungdi River valleys. Reach the quiet village of Hille for an easy first day on the trail.

Day 3: Hille to Ghorepani Deurali (2,800m / 9,184ft)

Trek Time: 6–7 hours

Overnight: Teahouse in Ghorepani

Ascend through Tikhedunga and up the famous Ulleri stone staircase. Hike through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests before reaching the stunning village of Ghorepani surrounded by mountain views.

Day 4: Poon Hill Sunrise & Trek to Tadapani (3,210m / 10,528ft, 2,600m / 8,528ft)

Trek Time: 6 hours to Tadapani

Overnight: Teahouse in Tadapani

Start early to witness a magical sunrise from Poon Hill with views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I & South. Continue through rhododendron forests and scenic ridges to Tadapani.

Day 5: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m / 6,363ft)

Overnight: Teahouse in Ghandruk

Descend through vibrant rhododendron and magnolia forests to the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk. Explore local culture, visit the museum, and enjoy views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.

Day 6: Ghandruk to Nayapul, Drive to Pokhara (822m / 2,696ft)

Drive Time: 1 hour

Overnight: Hotel in Pokhara

Hike down to Nayapul and return to Pokhara. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the lakeside, visiting the World Peace Pagoda or the Mountain Museum.

Day 7: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,400m / 4,592ft)

Drive Time: 6–7 hours

Optional Flight: 25 minutes (US$125)

Return to Kathmandu by tourist bus or private transport. After checking in to your hotel, enjoy a farewell evening in the capital city.
