A unique highlight is visiting the traditional yak cheese factory in Sing Gompa, offering insight into local life and a taste of fresh Himalayan cheese.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Sundarijal and Trek to Chisopani (2,150m / 7,054ft)

Drive Duration: 45 minutes | Trek Duration: 4–5 hours

Start with a short drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. Enter Shivapuri National Park and begin your ascent through lush forests, passing small Tamang settlements before reaching Chisopani.

Overnight: Teahouse in Chisopani

Day 2: Trek to Kutumsang (2,470m / 8,103ft)

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Descend to Pati Bhanjyang, then continue uphill through meadows and rhododendron forests to reach Kutumsang. Enjoy distant views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal.

Overnight: Teahouse in Kutumsang

Day 3: Trek to Ghopte (3,400m / 11,152ft)

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Leave Kutumsang and begin a steady uphill climb through dense rhododendron and fir forests. Enjoy views of snow-capped peaks as you pass through Magen Goth and cross forested ridges. Continue on a quieter trail toward Ghopte, a peaceful stop nestled beneath the Laurebina Pass.

Day 4: Trek to Gosaikunda (4,380m / 14,370ft)

Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

Follow a dramatic ridgeline trail with amazing Himalayan views as you climb to Lauribina. Continue to the sacred Gosaikunda Lakes, a serene and spiritually significant alpine destination.

Day 5: Trek to Sing Gompa (3,580m / 11,745ft)

Trek Duration: 5–6 hours

Descend from Gosaikunda along a forested trail to Sing Gompa. Visit the local cheese factory and enjoy peaceful surroundings in this monastery village nestled in the forest.

Day 6: Trek to Dhunche and Drive to Kathmandu

Trek Duration: 3 hours | Drive Duration: 6–7 hours

Enjoy a relaxed morning hike downhill from Sing Gompa through pine and oak forests to reach Dhunche. After lunch, take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, passing through picturesque villages and riverside landscapes.
